You may be aware that at 6:30PM this Sunday, April 3 and then again in two weeks on Sunday April 17, First Assembly of God here in Lafayette, Indiana, will be having "2011 Vision Meetings" in its sanctuary. The purpose of these meetings is to present the strategic plan composed by the church's staff and board.
You can learn more by seeing the other posts on this blog that have the word "Visioneering" in the title.
These meetings will be different in nature. In the first meeting, we will present four different elements of our strategic plan: core values, mission, vision and goals. There will also be more information about Life Groups and how they affect our church, as well as time for Q&A with some members of the board and me.
The meeting on April 17 will focus more clearly on how we would like for the leaders, departments and ministries of our church to align their work with the values, mission and vision in order to help us meet the goals set by the church's leadership!
I'm really looking forward to this weekend! I think the most exciting days for First Assembly are yet to come!
