It's that time again! This is when Christians all over the world celebrate "The Day". The day when our future was secured. The day when all things began their long but certain journey to renewal. The day when resurrection for all who have died in Christ and those living became sure. The day is Easter!
To celebrate, we've got a lot things happening at First Assembly Community Ministries! Here are the things you might want to know!
PRAYER AND PEP RALLY--Wednesday, April 16, at 6:30-7:30PM in our sanctuary we'll be having our Prayer and Pep Rally for the 300 volunteers for the Easter Eggstravaganza. Already, more than 60,000 eggs have been stuffed and we have much planned, now we need to communicate, pray, and split into serving teams!
GOOD FRIDAY SERVICES--Friday, April 18 at 5 & 6:30PM--We'll be offering two hour-long services of prayer, worship and hearing the passion to connect with God and adore Jesus Christ through interactive prayer stations and communion. This is one of my favorite times of the year at First Assembly. The choir, worship team and others are working hard to make this a meaningful moment for you and your family.
EASTER EGGSTRAVAGANZA--Saturday, April 19, registration begins at 9AM, shows at 10 & 11! This event has blown up! We are expecting several thousand people, and have some amazing community partners, including: Link Observatory, Purdue Space Day, Purdue Women of Engineering, Bricks for Kids, FIRST Robotics, Southwestern Middle School, Mintonye Elementary School, Chick Fil- A, and Kona Ice. This is going to be an amazing day that you won't want to miss! If you haven't registered, you may do so by clicking here.
EASTER SERVICES--Sunday, April 20, 9 & 11AM! "All Things New" is our theme this year, backed up with some amazing music and times of celebration will feature baptisms and a children's ministry moment. I can't wait to see how it all comes together, but I'm certain it will be "the day"--a time when we touch the roots of who we are as people in Christ. I can't wait to celebrate Easter at First Assembly!
