First Assembly Partners with Eastside Assembly in Daycare Venture

First Assembly Community Ministries (FACM) and Eastside Assembly of God, located at 6121 East 50 South, near IU Hospital in Lafayette, are going to begin a second site for Adventure Station, FACM's daycare located at Old 231 and Beck Lane in Lafayette, Indiana.

Adventure Station East will begin operations in 60-90 days and can host up to 67 children in Eastside's church building.  Adventure Station will manage the daycare and Eastside will welcome many new families through its doors every day.

Adventure Station at the Beck lane location currently serves nearly 200 children through its daycare, preschool and kindergarten offerings.

Pastor Steve Covert (pictured on the right here with me) says he believes this new venture will fulfill a desire of the church to serve the surrounding community.  "Eastside Assembly is happy to be a part of this joint effort to reach out to this community together with First Assembly Community Ministries to make a difference for parents and children."

Lisa Glaser, Executive Director of Adventure Station and FACM's Children's Ministries Director is also enthusiastic about this development.  "We’re excited to serve the community in another location," says Glaser.  "Adventure Station brings quality and cost-effective childcare with social, emotional and spiritual development to children."

I'm especially thrilled about this new partnership.  Eastside and First Assembly have so much in common.  By leveraging our resources to serve our community in this way, we are extending the reach of the gospel we both believe!  I'm looking forward to more relationship with this sister church of ours in Lafayette.

During the next couple of months, renovations will be underway to open the facility.
