First Assembly Community Ministries in Lafayette, Indiana offers River City Leadership College in the fall of 2016 for its second academic year!
The college will be a ministry school partner of Southwestern Assemblies of God University in Waxahachie, Texas (about an hour south of Dallas by car) and will deliver online content for fully accredited degrees on the campus of First Assembly Community Ministries.
Beyond the online content, the degrees will feature a practicum-heavy emphasis, with internships in various areas of ministry within the church, including worship arts, children's ministry, youth ministry, communications, missions and others.
Two degrees will ultimately be offered in Lafayette with an AA in Bible and a BA in Church Leadership. The prices for this degree will be less than half of what a full-time, resident student at Southwestern would pay!
Tuition will cost $260 per credit hour, with full-time students paying $3900 per semester. Housing, technology fees and internship fees will bring the cost total for a full-time residential student to $6190 per semester. Students who find other living arrangements or opt to study at a distance will pay less.
Financial aid is available for this program through grants and loans that would be extended to students attending any accredited college or university.
Transfer credits, foreign college credits, as well as other kinds of credit from ministry-related studies are possible to earn advanced standing in the degree programs.
Southwestern is a skilled provider of distance educations, offering its programs at a distance since 1983. First Assembly is happy to be creating a space once again for people to prepare for life and ministry, as it did for a number of years through another program called "Master's Commission".
