This past Sunday, we explored a topic I'm asked often about as a pastor--are we in the end times? How can we know it?
We particularly explored how to live in light of being at the end of time.
Check it out here! It was an interesting day at our church!
You can see the outline and video below!
LAST DAYS
Matthew 24:3, 12-15
3 As Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the
disciples came to him privately. “Tell us,” they said, “when will this happen,
and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?”
12 Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will
grow cold, 13 but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved.14 And
this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a
testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.
2 Peter 3:10-12
10 But the day of the Lord
will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be
destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything done in it
will be laid bare. 11 Since everything will be
destroyed in this way, what kind of people ought you to be? You ought to live
holy and godly lives 12 as you look forward to the day of God and
speed its coming.
Big Question:
If it’s the end of time, how should I react?
Follow God, Not Culture
Will you change with
culture, or will you follow God?
1 Thessalonians 5:23
May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through
and through. May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept
blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Be Ready
Knowing when is less important than being ready
for the coming of Christ.
Matthew 24:42
Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on
what day your Lord will come.
Make the Most of Now
If time is coming to
an end, it means we need to figure out how to leverage the life we
have.
